For the past five to four years, there have been much ado about Hybrid Cars and the many benefits they could offer. Their popularity has been compounded by the ever surging gas prices and the concern for the environment. It seems that Hybrid Cars are the solution to both. When you use a Hybrid car, you contribute less to the thickening air pollution, plus you save a lot of money since they require less fuel, plus there are numerous tax credits being given by many states.

For these reasons, hybrid cars have experienced a sharp increase in sales and more car ..

We checked the 150 MPG Toyota Prius at the Clean Vehicle Technology Expo in Ontario California. There were a lot of pure electric cars and hybrid cars there, some in early concept stages, other (pre)production. But Hymotion's new lithium-ion battery pack for the Toyota Prius really got our attention. While it may not lower gas prices, it does promise to make trips to the gas station a lot less frequent.

The 175-pound battery pack, which is sold as after market kit, converts the car into a plug-in hybrid and allows it to run on electric power for the first forty miles of a trip. It installs in the spare tire well of the trunk, leaving the entire trunk space for cargo, so you can still drive your spare tire in there, and have plenty room left. In average Prius, the gasoline engine still does the majority of the work and the ..

Hybrid cars are one of the latest innovations in the car industry today. Because of the rising cost of fuel, car manufacturers have integrated the hybrid technology in their cars. The concept of the hybrid engine technology is basically very simple to explain. Although hybrid cars still use fuel, it can efficiently save it. This is when the hybrid technology combines the electric motor technology through the gasoline engine.

With the hybrid technology, it allows consumers to save as much as 30 miles a gallon on fuel. The main advantage of hybrid cars is when the car stops or when it is running on idle mode, it automatically shuts off the gasoline engine. However, the car will continue running but it will run on the electric motor. Therefore, it saves a lot on fuel. Just imagine being stuck on traffic, in on the hybrid technology, you will never waste precious and…..

With the hot summer weather soon here I want to share with you a summer time gas saving tip. It’s one of the tips you can get for free in our email course on saving gas

I must admit that before I started researching fuel economy I had no idea that driving without a gas cap would make any significant difference to my fuel economy,

But it does!

Loosing your gas cap and not replacing it can cost you up to 15 gallons of gas a year, and even more if you live in a hot climate.

With no lid on the gas tank fuel will constantly evaporate ..

These days I think we are all aware of our actions and the impact our actions may have on the environment, except that is maybe of car manufacturers, who seem to slip through the net when it come to car air conditioning and climate control systems within the automotive industry and the omission of refrigeration gases into the atmosphere .

I feel in this day and age almost everybody is aware of the negative impact that refrigeration gases can have on the environment, when set free into the atmosphere, both to the ozone layer and greenhouse gas emissions, yet almost every car manufacturer designs the aircon system so it allows refrigeration gases to perambulate from the cars air conditioning system on a permanent basis until the system is empty and non functional.

The type of air conditioning compressors used in modern cars combined with low quality air conditioning pipe work seems to be a deliberate and more important an unlawful act, as they knowingly by design, allow refrigerant gases to escape into the atmosphere.

Allowing refrigerant gases to escape into the atmosphere is now outlawed under international agreement, so when will vehicle manufactures be held to comply with this supposed environmental protection law?
