Completing The Forms For A United States Visa

Whether you were born in Russia, Saudi Arabia or Brazil, the major stop along the way to getting a United States green card or Visa is the dreaded inadmissibility gate. This step is often referred to as the first step in the rejection process. You can expect that any consideration that had been given to you will be tossed out if you have an incurable disease, lack the means to support yourself or have a criminal history. Because the screening process is highly involved and very thorough, you will be asked to provide official government documents that you have been given. If you are from a non-English speaking country and your documents are not in English then they must be translated by an approved translation service that can testify the accuracy of the translations being made. For instance, a person from Brazil might need to contact a Portuguese Translator company that specialize in the translation of birth certificates, marriage licenses, divorce decrees and more.

For those who are known offenders of the law in their country, you can expect to be denied a visa or green card in this step. In my years of experience, I know that it is almost impossible for who gets filtered out to still be given a green card or visa. In fact, the only way this can happen is when special governmental consideration in given. Some applicants are barred from admission too if they have been found to be illegally living in the United States for more than 180 days. In this event, the applicant is barred from receiving a green card or visa for anywhere between 3 and 10 years. Even if you think you haven’t done anything wrong.

If everything seems to be in order and you pass the rejection phase then your eligibility gets called into question. This is where you must answer the question, “What type of visa or green card are you eligible for?” Don’t just guess blindly here. You will need to take time to evaluate the various choices. You might already know the answer—for example, if you are from Russia and you’ve just married a U.S. citizen, it’s pretty obvious that you want to apply for a green card on this basis. When you can’t locate the data that you need to make an informed decision, you could try visiting a local Russian Translation Services company and seeing if they have some resources that might help you. Or, if you are from Egypt and your main goal is to attend college in the United States, then you probably know that you need a student visa. Most people do have some questions and consequently, there are many resources available in almost every spoken language. Just to give you an example of the help that is available, if you speak Arabic, you might consider approaching an Arabic translation services agency in your city. These types of places can often give you very helpful advice.

If you do not already know you are eligible for a certain type of visa or green card, however, then you should start by doing some research and reviews of the possibilities for spending time in the U.S. In addition, you might also be interested in a temporary green card. On a side note, not everyone will receive good news and the right to stay in the United States for the remainder of their life. But while a permanent stay may not be in your future, you shouldn’t rule out a temporary stay. Some short terms options include student and employment based visa. While the employment based visas and student based visa might not apply to your needs, there are others that might be ideal.
